Terms & Conditions of Trade

International Commodity Trade Framework • United Saud Argentina

1. Commercial Quotations & Validity

All quotations, indicative price indications, and proforma proposals provided through this website or official email correspondence are subject to final contract confirmation and prevailing market volatility on the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) and local Argentine FOB elevation premiums. Indicative rates are valid only for the duration stipulated in the respective written offer.

2. Contractual Governance & Incoterms

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in a signed Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA), all physical grain sales are governed by the standard contract terms of the Grain and Feed Trade Association (GAFTA) and the latest Incoterms rules issued by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

3. Inspection & Finality

Quality, condition, protein, moisture, and certified weights are determined at the Argentine load port by an accredited independent surveying company (such as SGS, Cotecna, or Bureau Veritas) in accordance with contractual terms. The surveyor’s certificates issued at loading shall be final and binding on both parties, save in cases of manifest fraud.

4. Payment Instruments

Standard international grain export operations require confirmed, irrevocable Letters of Credit (LC at Sight) issued or confirmed by an internationally recognized prime bank, or agreed telegraphic transfer terms outlined in the binding proforma invoice.

5. Regulatory Clearances & Force Majeure

All shipments are contingent on official phytosanitary export clearance by SENASA. Standard international force majeure clauses apply to events outside the reasonable control of the exporter, including but not limited to severe river low-water levels, official port authority stoppages, and governmental export quota adjustments.
